It is a curious moment when you suddenly realize that you are a descendant of immigrants. Suddenly the undeniable fact that you live with civil rights in a country where you seem to be untouchable is in a different light. The irrefutable fact of that fact is a mirage. You are just a fourth generation immigrant and the stories you have formed consist of unsustainable family myths. Not really substantiated, unproven, sometimes half truths. Not entirely false, but vague in its assumptions, blurred in the images and certainly not exactly. That pinches and rubs and then you want to know more. – HUUB KOCH.
